The Samui Regatta was first established in 2001, starting with only 11 boats. It is one of Asia's biggest Regatta's and the final of the Asian Yachting Grand Prix. The event grew every year and by the third year, the regatta had achieved International status. Samui Regatta is the last regatta in the Asian Yachting Grand Prix series. After 8 races in 5 countries the results often come down to how well yachts perform in Samui.
