Delightful Khao Soi at The View Restaurant

Experience a truly diversified culinary creation at our View Restaurant with well-known Thai dishes, of which Khao soi is a traditional Northern Thai specialty.

Khao soi owes its origins to a mixture of influences dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, from Chinese Muslim traders and the Burmese.
This soup-like dish consisting of soft flat egg noodles is served with meat in an oily and slightly coconut curry broth, with a hefty handful of crispy deep-fried noodles topping the dish. Beef and chicken are the most common meats on offer, but pork (both meat and ribs) can be found, all falling off the bone.
Khao soi is eaten with chopsticks and a spoon, and small side dishes are also served to enable the individual diner to adjust the sweetness and sourness of the broth with such usual condiments: a lime wedge, pickled cabbage, shallots, dried curry paste, ground chillies fried in oil.
You will find that you’ll want to eat every bowl that you see and to enjoy the mixing of ingredients. The spice is dominant but not too much chili heat.

The unique and signature dish of The View Restaurant at KC Resort & Over Water Villas

Pasta is semi prepared in the kitchen in a creamy, white wine sauce.
We finish (complete) the dish at the table.
The parmesan wheel is brought to the table and the pasta is then layered in the wheel. We flambé it with brandy. During this the pasta is cooked al dente getting the special taste of parmesan directly from the „cheese cooking pot“.
Once it’s served we shave parmes and truffles over the delicious combination.

Unlock the magic of Christmas 2011 with a view.

Enjoy the festive season of holiday at KC Resort & Over Water Villas – The wonder of Christmas at our KC Resort offers you an opportunity to relax and enjoy your special moment with ones you love with a unique style of international cuisines.
Christmas Eve at KC Resort offers you a set menu gala dinner at the price of THB2,900++ per person which has variety of tasty cuisines and home-craft food from one of the best chefs in Thailand, Chef Kit.

And why Roasted turkey?
A noble dish is a turkey, roast or boiled. A Christmas dinner, with the middle classes of this empire, would scarcely be a Christmas dinner without its turkey; and we can hardly imagine an object of greater envy than is presented by a respected portly pater-familias carving, at the season devoted to good cheer and genial charity, his own fat turkey, and carving it well.

KC’s Thai Cooking Class

Learn about the secrets of one of the world’s tastiest and healthiest cuisines

Thai cuisine is known for its lightly prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and for being spicy. The balance between the four fundamental taste senses in each dish or in the overall meal is very important: sour, sweet, salty, and bitter, as well as the detail and variety of food.

While your stay at our resort on Samui you can take part in one of our great entertaining cooking classes and learn more about the delicious cuisine.
Our Chef, Mr. SaowakitPreeprem, is an expert in Thai cuisine and guides you through the cooking of three typical Thai dishes and explains everything about the cooking techniques and particular ingredients. Of course you can taste your own created Thai food at the end of the class.

If you are interested in learning more about what goes into Thai food dishes and enjoy cooking, don’t hesitate to join our cooking classes.
