The Secret Chef Society’s Appreciation Event with a new Hat

The quarterly appreciation events of the infamous event of Koh Samui, the Secret Chef Society, are a fixed tradition on Koh Samui hosted by the Secret Chef Society’s restaurant partners and suppliers.

The following event not only marks the anniversary of the society, but also will introduce a new secret. Chef Shaun Venter with his restaurant “The Pearl” at Bhundhari Spa Resort & Villas is showing off his skills as a new member to the society. The Pearl located at Bhundhari's beachside with breath taking views of Matlang Island. The menu boasts fresh & funky interpretations of Thai flavors & Western techniques.

Chef Shaun Venter started his career in London under a few old boys of modern day cooking. Shaun took his passion somewhere undiscovered, move to Dubai and spent most of his time in the kitchens of the Burj Al Arab.  With a love for Thai food and Asian flavors Shaun finds himself just where he wants to be.

The event will be held on Friday September 30, 2011 starting from 18.30 – 20.30. Members may join complimentary and bring along one friend. Non members will be charged 800 THB.

Resident Rooftop 80ies Party at KC Resort & Over Water Villas

On October 8, 2010, KC Resort & Over Water Villas hosted the 80ies Party at its rooftop, “Resident Roof Top Lounge” venue offering spectacular 360 degree views. The atmosphere was decidedly lounge-like with stunning views over Chaweng Bay. The vibe was created by DJ Konstantin who dusted off his vinyls and spun 80s Classics, such as Duran Duran, Lihmal Dire, and Straits amongst others. Chef Ryan Dadufalza and his crew produced their signature $44 pie on top of other great favorites as mini burgers, homemade hot dogs, pizza salad with special home crafted sauces by our chef. The crowd made up of tourists and residents chilled late into the night.

KC Resort & Over Water Villas, a proud member of the affiliation, Warwick International, announces second gathering of the Secret Chef Society of Koh Samui and their paramount restaurants, which are The View & Wine Lounge of KC Resort & Over Water Villas, Nikki Beach, The Cliff Bar & Grill, Red Snapper, and Rocky’s. 

These pinnacle restaurants reassembled by diners’ popular demand for another night of outstanding food and enjoyment.

Koh Samui, Thailand - September 27, 2010 – Amidst the glowing success of its premiere last month at Nikki Beach Bungalow Resort, The Secret Chef Society divulges plans this week for their highly anticipated second event.

An encore of the abundant, seemingly endless fare of exceptional and delectable quality that left guests in a satiated awe at the initial launch of The Society in August, has been raptly awaited for since. This has subsequently propelled the second in what is to be an ongoing series of events to one of the top “can’t-miss” happenings on the island for October. Attendees are most certainly in for a treat as the prominent head Chefs of all five restaurants belonging to The Society will debut the latest dishes to be featured on the exclusive menus available solely to members of this rapidly growing diner’s club. Accompanied by free-flowing champagne and wine, the evening promises to be cornucopia of delights if not simply the feast of a lifetime.

This time around the decadent culinary soiree will be held at The Cliff Bar and Grill, exchanging the resplendent sunset of Lipa Noi for the majestic sight offered by The Cliff’s strategic location. Halfway between Chaweng and Lamai, the rock face in which The Cliff is situated in and aptly named after provides a spectacular view of the inlet and beach below.

The revelry is slated for October 15, 2010 from 17:00 to 20:00 and is open to the public.

Diners who attend one of the participating restaurants and amount a bill upwards of the considerably reasonable minimum price per person will automatically be awarded admittance to The Society. In departure from the more common, typically bothersome diner’s clubs, patrons will promptly be given a sleek membership card at the conclusion of their meal which will detail the other venues they are immediately granted VIP access to. Upon arrival at one of the esteemed restaurants of The Society, the customer need only present their membership card in order to begin enjoying the advantages, commencing with preferred seating at a uniquely adorned table and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Aside from being given the standard restaurant menu, they will also be presented with a select, preferential menu restricted to Society members that will consist of dishes from the host Chef’s innermost inspiration and fancy.

The Sound of Music

After the successful launch of The Secret Chef Society on Koh Samui, KC Resort & Over Water Villas, as the founding members, are now stepping up to make their Restaurant, "The View & Wine Lounge" even more attractive.

As of September a Violin Player will serenade guests every Tuesday through KC's very own Steak Night, which is a great deal by the way - each couple received one fine complimentary bottle of wine.

Then KC Resort & Over Water Villas are introducing Samui's only Russian Saxophone Player, who will perform every Friday for the Romantic Candle Night Dining experience.

Resident Rooftop Lounge with stunning views

The Rooftop at KC Resort & Over Water Villas opens up to 360 degree views of Koh Samui and its neighboring islands.

The Resort offers many ways to enjoy this spectacular setting. Overlooking Chaweng Beach, Bangrak Pier and Big Buddha and nestled away Koh Matlang - the Resident Rooftop Lounge is an "allrounder".

In March 2010 the Rooftop hosted the Heather Small concert with over 300 visitors. 80's Video events - the first ever to be screened in an public event on Koh Samui was hosted twice in late 2009.

New events are in line and the Resident Rooftop Lounge will open its doors again as of October 2010.
