The unique and signature dish of The View Restaurant at KC Resort & Over Water Villas

Pasta is semi prepared in the kitchen in a creamy, white wine sauce.
We finish (complete) the dish at the table.
The parmesan wheel is brought to the table and the pasta is then layered in the wheel. We flambé it with brandy. During this the pasta is cooked al dente getting the special taste of parmesan directly from the „cheese cooking pot“.
Once it’s served we shave parmes and truffles over the delicious combination.

Secret Chef Society and Farang Food join hands

Koh Samui - The Secret Chef Society, and its award winning Restaurants and Chefs, have joined hands recently with Farang Food.

At the latest culinary event, "Sharing-The-Secret", at The Cliff Bar & Grill, both parties met to seal the deal.
Farang Food will be the main supplier for the partners and will, in return, sponsor the well-known "Secret Chef Society - Appreciation Events". 

It's truly unique to Thailand to see such an agreement signed, profiting all participating Restaurants and supplier likewise.

"This will strengthen the young society with its passionate chefs and exceptional Restaurants. In addition paving the way into Phuket, Bangkok and Melbourne in 2012", the President, Mr. Andreas Kraemer, mentioned.

Charity dinner @ Nikki Beach this Friday!

Secret Chef Society proudly presents the evening event this Friday to help support the flood victims in Thailand.

It is well-known that the current disaster has major impacted on the country, the major floods in Thailand occurred during the 2011 monsoon season in Thailand. Provinces located in the Chao Phraya and Mekong River basin, including Bangkok and sourrounding neighborhoods were most severely affected directly or indirectly by inundation. Over 12.8 million people were affected as of December 3rd, 2011 and some areas still remained under up to 6 feet underwater and many factory areas remained closed.

For this reason, the Secret Chef Society on Samui throws an event "Charity dinner" objected to spread the tastes of good food and good mood to all the fabulous people on Samui and also to help support the flood victims in Thailand for every PAX that joins, you've already donated with your generous heart to help support them with us.

The View Restaurant & Wine Lounge wins HAPA “Most Chic All Day Dining” awards 2011-2013

Koh Samui, Thailand - KC Resort & Over Water Villas, one of the most extravagant resorts on Koh Samui’s signature Restaurant has won the Platinum award from HAPA, “Best 10 in Asia Awards” for 2011 – 2013 regional series, carrying home the Platinum award HAPA MOST CHIC ALL-DAY DINING for “The View Restaurant and Wine Lounge”.
The awards were visited by our Executive Chef, Khun Saowakit Preeprem and Area General Manager, Mr. Andreas Kraemer. "Sharing - The - Secret" by the Secret Chef Society

The successful past year of the Secret Chef Society on Koh Samui has inspired the Chefs to carry on and take the experience a step further, by creating a platform to express themselves to the diner with a sit-down dinner. A little bit like sharing a secret...

Chef Shaun Venter, the Executive Chef at Bhundari Spa Resort & Villas Samui joined the society recently with his Restaurant, The Pearl, located on the beach front, just north of Chaweng. Venter is very excited about his first sit-down-dinner with the chefs and is preparing something unique to thrill the tastebuds of the foodies dining at The Cliff Bar & Grill that evening.

All chefs have met several times to make this event one of many to come in the future. The Secret Chef Society is surely for food lover only and a unique concept led by passionate chefs on Koh Samui.

The Secret Chef Society’s Appreciation Event with a new Hat

The quarterly appreciation events of the infamous event of Koh Samui, the Secret Chef Society, are a fixed tradition on Koh Samui hosted by the Secret Chef Society’s restaurant partners and suppliers.

The following event not only marks the anniversary of the society, but also will introduce a new secret. Chef Shaun Venter with his restaurant “The Pearl” at Bhundhari Spa Resort & Villas is showing off his skills as a new member to the society. The Pearl located at Bhundhari's beachside with breath taking views of Matlang Island. The menu boasts fresh & funky interpretations of Thai flavors & Western techniques.

Chef Shaun Venter started his career in London under a few old boys of modern day cooking. Shaun took his passion somewhere undiscovered, move to Dubai and spent most of his time in the kitchens of the Burj Al Arab.  With a love for Thai food and Asian flavors Shaun finds himself just where he wants to be.

The event will be held on Friday September 30, 2011 starting from 18.30 – 20.30. Members may join complimentary and bring along one friend. Non members will be charged 800 THB.

The Fourth Secret Chef Society Dinner was a culinary success




For the fourth time, the food lovers’ favourite event on Koh Samui, by the already well-known five restaurants, The View Restaurant & Wine Lounge, Nikki Beach Restaurant & Bar, The Cliff Bar & Grill, Red Snapper, and Rocky’s organized another beyond successful extravaganza, the fourth Secret Chef Society.
This fourth Secret Chef Society dinner took place at The Resident Roof Top of The View Restaurant of KC Resort & Over Water Villas on Friday 18th February. DJ Andy Vier made sure that the mood was right with his carefully selected playlist for the night. There was also the addition of an Arabian tent with selection of Shishas with blended tobacco.
It is clear that the Secret Chef Society had expanded quickly, this fourth installation was bigger than ever with over 100 members and guests attending including Ms. Saiphayom Somsuk, Chief of Koh Samui Tourism Coordination Center, TAT, Dr. Bannasat Ruangjan, President of TAKS, Mr. Oliver Irvine, Assistant Editor, 2 Magazine, Ms. Arparporn Thientanavanich, Editor in Chief, W5 Magazine, Ms. Chailda Ekvitthayavechnukul, Editorial Assistant, Lifestyle + Travel Magazine, Mr. Dirk Baumgartl, Editor in Chief, Spartacus Traveler and many more.
Attendees enjoyed the outstanding culinary creations prepared by the five Chefs of the Secret Chef Society. The evening was enhanced by artful wine matching, courtesy of Ambrose which completed the experience. The party continued late into the night under the stunning moonlight with the attendees enjoying the music, wine and the view.

The fourth Secret Chef Society






After the glowing achievement of the, beyond success, event, last month at Red Snapper Bar & Grill, the top five restaurants of Koh Samui, partnering restaurant of the Secret Chef Society, The View Restaurant & Wine Lounge, Nikki Beach Restaurant & Bar, The Cliff Bar & Grill, Red Snapper, and Rocky’s have disclosed the date of the fourth Secret Chef Society extravaganza to the public.

The fourth installation of Samui's most talked about event, The Secret Chef Society divulges to be on Friday 18th February at KC Resort & Over Water Villas. The Resident Roof Top with 360 degree view over Chaweng Bay and Koh Matlong was chosen as the venue. The teams from the founding members are busy preparing for this sensational happening. The expectations are high following the successful outing at the Red Snapper last month.

The combination of the Resident Roof Top location at KC Resort & Over Water Villas with the creative gastronomical skills from the best chefs on Koh Samui bodes well for the members and guests of Secret Chefs Society. Black Forrest Distribution, Secret Chef Society’s wine supplier, will ensure the experience will be complete with artful wine matching.

KC Resort & Over Water Villas will take this opportunity to introduce their new Executive Chef, Mr. Viwat Tanjinda who brings his 16 years of hospitality experience working his way through the ranks in variety of places not only all over Thailand but also in Cambodia and Finland.

To complete the experience, this fourth event will feature live saxophone by Mr. Kostantin. If that won’t be enough, there will also be an Arabian tent with selection of Shishas offering a choice of blended tobacco and selection of flavors. It promises to be another flourishing night for the Secret Chef Society.

Koh Samui, Thailand - September 27, 2010 – Amidst the glowing success of its premiere last month at Nikki Beach Bungalow Resort, The Secret Chef Society divulges plans this week for their highly anticipated second event.
An encore of the abundant, seemingly endless fare of exceptional and delectable quality that left guests in a satiated awe at the initial launch of The Society in August, has been raptly awaited for since. This has subsequently propelled the second in what is to be an ongoing series of events to one of the top “can’t-miss” happenings on the island for October. Attendees are most certainly in for a treat as the prominent head Chefs of all five restaurants belonging to The Society will debut the latest dishes to be featured on the exclusive menus available solely to members of this rapidly growing diner’s club. Accompanied by free-flowing champagne and wine, the evening promises to be cornucopia of delights if not simply the feast of a lifetime.

This time around the decadent culinary soiree will be held at The Cliff Bar and Grill, exchanging the resplendent sunset of Lipa Noi for the majestic sight offered by The Cliff’s strategic location. Halfway between Chaweng and Lamai, the rock face in which The Cliff is situated in and aptly named after provides a spectacular view of the inlet and beach below.

The revelry is slated for October 15, 2010 from 17:00 to 20:00 and is open to the public.
